The Department of State is the governing authority for ITAR products. The US Government tends to re-organize their web sites regularly, so just do a search for "US Department of State".

Unfortunately, the burden of compliance is on you. Regardless of the information your customer passes on to you, it is your responsibility to A) determine whether the product falls under ITAR jurisdiction and B) how remain compliant in handling that item.

Hi Leah! The example provided is incomplete and doesn't account for dollar values, but the same applies. The point is to be hyper-aware of the data being recorded by the CBP officer at the time of entry. If you have to justify yourself to the DoS months or years down the line, it will be very difficult to re-construct those entries.

Yes. Although the focus is on outgoing data, there are regulations that pertain to imports.

You used the example of 10 widgets and for the quantities to be endorsed correctly as either imported or exported however, what about the license dollar values for the widgets. Isn't it also important that the dollar values are endorsed properly because if they're not, how else can you balance the entries and the exits when you turn the license in to DDTC?

Can somebody tell me in simple terms how to buy a M-35 A2 truck and bring it up to Canada? I was thinking more of a private sale rather than GL or GSA?

I wish to import a set of sporting rifle components from a seller in the US, he is saking me to acquire a form DSP-5 and get it authorised by you and send it to him so that he can export a rifle to the UK.

I believe he has got it round the wrong way. I belive 'he' has to get the form and fill it in and apply to you for the export of these components, is that correct ?

Regards
